Dual Enrollment with Arizona State University

Sora Schools’ partnership with Arizona State University means our students have access to free college courses through the ASU Universal Learner program. This concurrent enrollment program means you can earn dual credit for high school and college.

Sora is a pioneering middle and high school that empowers curious students with the freedom to pursue their interests and discover who they are. We provide our students with all the tools they need— including college classes— to succeed.

Our students craft their own journey with an advisor, choosing classes and projects they find interesting, all while earning a fully accredited, rigorous diploma that prepares them for whatever’s next. College courses for high school students are just one of our many exciting offerings to accelerate students to their wildest dreams.

A school for creative thinkers, big dreamers, and change-the-worlders

We believe potential isn’t defined by grades. The average millionaire had a C+ in college; meanwhile, plenty of uninspired students get straight As. We find and accelerate high-potential students with boundless curiosity just waiting to be unlocked.

At Sora, students discover what they find beautiful and important in the world. They learn by diving into classes and projects grounded in real problems – helping them answer an important question: What will you work towards?

How does Dual Enrollment at Sora Work?

Sora high school upperclassmen in good standing can register for up to six ASU courses per year instead of Sora expeditions. Through these Dual Enrollment courses, students will earn both Sora and ASU credits simultaneously.

Sora will pay for the courses themselves and the recording fee for students who wish to obtain a college transcript. More information can be found HERE.

Postgraduate and
Gap Year Students

Sora is pleased to announce its first-ever Postgraduate and Gap Year program for high school graduates.  During the Postgraduate year, students will explore career interests while earning up to a year of college credit.

Students participating in Sora’s Postgraduate program can simultaneously qualify for automatic admission to ASU through ASU’s earned admission program.

Postgraduate students will also participate in a unique capstone project experience, drawing together advanced academic studies and professional exploration under the guidance of Sora faculty and a mentor in the student’s chosen field.

How Our Program Works

At Sora, our teachers design live, online classes that are interdisciplinary, engaging, and made relevant to today’s world. Eventually, students also pitch independent study projects to guide their own learning with the help of an expert.

Our daily schedule looks much more like a university than a middle or high school: our students spend 2-4 hours per day in live, engaging classes, labs, or debates and use the rest of their time on pre-reading, assignments, personal projects, office hours, advising meetings, or student-run clubs.
