Final Reflections at Sora - Capstone Project

Capstone Projects at Sora

At Sora, all fourth-year high school students complete a multifaceted reflective work that serves as a mandatory graduation requirement, called a Capstone Project. This project is designed to encourage students to think critically and to further develop the skills fostered during the third-year Industry Mentorship Program.

Wren T. Capstone Project

As part of the Capstone process, Wren created or documented the following:

  • A year-long reflective journal
  • An education and career plan, including getting a cosmetology license and becoming an Art Conservationist
  • Examples of project-based learning
  • A final reflection of the Sora experience as a graduating student

Here are Wren’s final reflections as a Sora student:

“Through this project, I wanted to showcase who I am and what my goals are for my future. The artifacts I selected all pertain to my interests and future goals, as well as the ones I'm particularly proud of achieving. I’ve always loved fashion, art, and history, so I decided to combine the two these past two years at Sora. My dream is to work in the art conservation field, specializing in fashion and textile conservation. All of these artifacts have elements of what I'm proud of, what I'm interested in, and what I hope to achieve in the future.”
