Admissions Steps

Get an overview of the admissions process at Sora Schools.

1. Watch info session

Kick things off with our info session for a high-level overview of Sora’s academic program and community, and meet some of our team. You can find our info session above!

2. Schedule an Intro Call

Connect with a member of our Admissions Team. During this call, we'll answer quick questions about Sora and share an overview of the next steps.

3. Join student visit day events

We love it when prospective students experience Sora for themselves! Details and registration information for all of Sora’s visit day events are available to families after the Intro Call.

4. Complete an online application

The final step is to apply online. We have a rolling admissions process and enroll new students three times a year, in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Our application requirements include:

  • Application Fee -  Sora Schools requires a $50 application fee. If your student is offered admission and enrolls, the application fee will be applied to your tuition.
  • Admissions Application (Parent/Guardian Portion) - Background information and family details.
  • Admissions Application (Student Portion) - The student provides insight into their academic background, interests, and critical thinking skills.
  • Academic Records - Upload student's unofficial academic records from the last 1-2 years.
  • Additional Supplements (optional) - These may include teacher/mentor evaluations, portfolio work, writing samples, and/or individualized learning plans. We also accept the SSAT and/or Character Skills Snapshot.
  • Parent Meeting - 45-minute Zoom meeting to understand your student’s unique strengths and goals and explore how Sora’s program can best support their learning journey.
  • Student Interview - 30-minute Zoom interview with a member of the Admissions Team.
  • Flexible Tuition Application (optional) - Flexible tuition is our need-based tuition assistance program. If you're interested in flexible tuition, you can apply for a grant during the general application process.
